Small ornamental palm appreciated for its hardiness, resistance to drought and spray, the Chamhumilis aeropsis part of the Palmaceae family. It is native to the dry and sandy areas of southern Europe, particularly the Mediterranean basin.
Its large, palmate leaves 40 to 80 cm in diameter, green, unfurl at the top of one or more stipes covered with intertwined brown fibers revealing the base of the old leaves fallen in a natural way. Chamaerops has a squat habit and rarely exceeds 2.5 meters in height.
