What sets him apart from his cousin Fargesia Jiuzhaigou sp1 (red panda): Grows higher than fargesia nitida jiuzhaigou sp1 and Red dragon, slightly thicker stubble.
The Fargesia nitida sp 'jiuzhaigou genf' can be considered as the twelfth semi harvested in the fabulous Jiuzhaigou Valley in China. It is a Swiss amateur who brought it back after the first two harvests of MM. Wagner (1986) and Willumeit (1989). Its name comes from its Swiss origins, it is the contraction of 'Geneva form'. To pronounce 'Gueinf', if you discusstez of this bamboo with another passionate of northern Europe (a Belgian for example!). Its harvesting place is located at an important altitude (3500 m) , where the plants enjoy a thick mist most of the day. This is probably why Fargesia nitida 'jiuzhaigou genf' is less tolerant of full sun than other seedlings in this region. Fargesia jiuzhaigou 'genf' (Belgium 2012). You have to choose a location protected from full sun all day long. Fargesia nitida 'Jiuzhaigou Genf' takes the same color in the spring as Fargesia nitida sp 'jiuzhaigou 1'. Its stubble can be adorned with a red ranging from cherry to burgundy. Then the culms take a more orange color. The branches, on the other hand, keep their red clothes all year round. Its development is very impressive and it reveals each year amultitude of new shoots. It easily reaches 4 meters high . Like the other Fargesia nitida sp 'jiuzhaigou',it is exceptionally resistant to cold.
All Fargesia grow much better in soil rich in humus and rich in nutrients. If soils are poor, sandy and very loamy, soils need to be improved. Mix as follows:
