We recommend Fargesia denudata, because this plant is exceptional with abundant foliage in winter, F.denudata and as bright as Fargesia Murielae.
Family: Poacée
French name: Fargesia Denudata, Thamnocalamus Denudata
Fargesia Denudata comes from Sichuan and Gansu provinces in China. Fargesia Denudata as a whole has a pale green-yellow color, but is not at all languid. The culms have a maximum diameter of 1.5 centimeters turning to a beautiful yellow. The old stubble, in particular, takes a bright yellow color in full light and brings out the leaves. Fargesia Denudata does not fear the cold, we can only recommend it.
Similar to Fargesia murielae in form and color F. denudata has shorter branches and smaller leaves, which bring out the gracefully individually arched canes. Although not ausso robust as F. murielae, it is hardy to -23 ° C. Unlike F. murielae and F. nitida, the leaves do not turn yellow and fall in the fall, making it a greener plant during the winter. Like other Fargesias, this is a sticky bamboo and he is happy to protect himself from the hot sun of the afternoon. It is especially suitable for areas where the nights cool off.
All Fargesia grow much better in soil rich in humus and rich in nutrients. If soils are poor, sandy and very loamy, soils need to be improved. Mix as follows:
If the earth is clay:
If the land is sandy:
The addition of clay granules (seramis or pumice) greatly increases the storage of water. Then do not forget to fertilize with bamboo fertilizer. (preferably nitrogen rich).
