HOW TO ELIMINATE 'DELETE' INVASIVE BAMBOOS
Lot of misconceptions that circulate on the bamboo, include one that suggests that an installed bamboo cannot be dislodged. Does the fact that those who are originally they were badly attacked and had tried, as in a tree or shrub, to snatch stubble after thatched, rhizome after rhizome? Fortunately, there are less painful methods, within the reach of all and more effective.
Whether it comes to eliminate dwarf bamboos or small bamboo, to early spring cut all stems close to the ground with a shear, tree trimmer or a mower (depending on the size of the bamboo). A few weeks later, when new shoots will develop their leaves, should be again about shave or apply a weed killer 'type Glyphosate 300gr' on the leaves if they are sufficiently developed. If new shoots grow again, repeat the treatment. In a season the reserves will be exhausted and the rhizomes will soon wither.
For medium or giant bamboos, the principle is the same: it is to be cut flush with the floor all stubble and eliminate then all the young shoots coming out (this is a good opportunity to eat, for to edible shoot bamboos course). The reserves that contained the rhizomes, regrowth will be more or less important. Do not leave a long time new leaves as they develop new reserves that would enrich the rhizomes. There also after several passages, at the end of season, the rhizomes will be exhausted and will be even easier to extract that they have lost their vitality for a long time.
